Lancaster County is an amazing blend of urban style and rural splendor, and the PA Dutch Convention & Visitors Bureau is dedicated to promoting its many rich cultures, from the Amish to the arts. Athletes and families can take in our vibrant downtown city life – featuring galleries, great dining, specialty shops, and live music – or explore some of the surrounding towns and villages to get a sampling of the heritage, food, craftsmanship, and hands-on activities for which Lancaster is famous.

Family Entertainment

The US Youth Soccer Region I Championships is a massive undertaking for Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer and the city of Lancaster.  It is a production as much as it is a competition in a sense.  While the staff and Board of Directors for Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer will be working tirelessly to make these games the best they can be, and exceed everyone’s expectations, volunteers are needed. Did you know?

926 teams will participate in Regional competitions and 60 will advance to Nationals, where 12 will be crowned champions!

Opening ceremonies for the 2012 US Youth Soccer Region I Championships will take place at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster on June 28. Opening ceremonies are a grand occasion and an opportunity for the players to get their first glimpse of their competition before they hit the fields the next day.

Teams must report to the stadium by 5:00 PM.  The ceremony begins at 6:00 PM.  Concession stands will be open to the public.
